And a time will be had! Can’t wait to be at my favorite place ( @aliceeverafterbooks ) with one of my new favorite people ( @quartezh ) talking about my favorite thing, picture books!

Sometimes you just need a 30 minute conversation with Dr. Austin and Dr. Hands. Carrying this love, this support, this conversation, and this community with me as I finish out this semester ♥️

I hadn’t even planned on doing a #ProfessorDrip for the week, but then my students complimented the fit during class, so I had to! ✌🏾

“. . . Black history cannot be crammed into February, and it shouldn’t have to be. Shift, shake, cut, or do whatever you must to make room in your classrooms for the Black histories that fill the world with genius, perseverance, joy, and truth” (p. 110).

I had a very fulfilling Black History Month rocking my new favorite t-shirt, hanging out with one of my favorite elementary schools, talking about my book, and sending a Black history box with goodies and a book to my nieces and nephew! But remember that we exist and that our histories live #BeyondFebruary 🤟🏾
