The HOMIE-sexuals: The sitcom the world didn’t know it needed. Someone, please make this happen!!!

I started this journey with passion and the belief that anything was possible. Moving from a war-torn country to a small European country called Belgium, I arrived with big dreams of becoming an actor and achieving my childhood aspirations. I thought that with my look / distinct appearance (different from those around me), a bit of talent, and drive, I could easily make it. I worked day and night, convinced I could hustle my way to success. Though I believed in the hustle, it was an immature mindset.

I began studying acting and spent years in theater, but faced constant negativity and skepticism. Nobody believed in my vision, especially those close to me, and people mocked my dreams. It was a tough realization that success takes time. True achievement requires relentless effort and hard work, much of which happens behind the scenes.

Eventually, I discovered that I couldn’t do it alone. I found a supportive group (my tribe) of like-minded individuals who have been my rock for nearly a decade. Their belief and encouragement became crucial to my journey.

On my way, I also learned that consistency beats talent. I saw many incredibly talented individuals fall by the wayside, but I persisted. Even when progress seemed slow, my dedication and perseverance paid off. Now, success feels much more rewarding and meaningful. Every bit of it I value and cherish, knowing it came from perseverance, community, and the reality of hard-earned achievement.
