Surgery is just over a week away. It’s starting to get super real. I’m so incredibly grateful for all the support and am humbly sharing again as surgery gets closer. The physical and financial toll this has already taken is a lot so if you’re able to help (Link in bio), or share, or even send prayers/energy/magick/etc, it would mean a lot. To be honest I’m pretty scared about the surgery and overwhelmed with the physical and financial logistics, but I’m also grateful to feel so much love and be able to have it so I can hopefully live a life in far less pain moving forward. I love you all very much!!!

Meet Walter, one of our most beloved Wildlings. 🐷✨
Walter’s story starts where so many do: a 4H project. For those unfamiliar, 4H programs have kids raise farm animals from babies… only for those animals to eventually go to market. Sometimes, those kids fall in love, and in a panic, they reach out for help. 💔
Luckily, Eilan from @avalonmicrosanctuary answered that call, and Walter found a foster family @operafication . But as Walter grew (as AGH pigs do!), city life just wasn’t cutting it anymore and that’s when we got the call.
We welcomed this big, intact, chaotic baby boy into our actual house while he waited to be neutered. He was a LOT. He was loud, he was mischievous, he turned our world upside down
and we wouldn’t change a single thing. 🏡🐽
Today, Walter lives his absolute best life in Pig Park alongside his best friend Javier. From a frantic rescue call to a lifetime of mud, snuggles, and sunshine.
We’re sharing Walter’s story today in honor of his stunning new photoshoot, captured beautifully by the incredibly talented @bethlilyredwood 📸🌿

Hilary Whitmore is an experienced body suspension practitioner and performance artist whose work bridges ritual, art, and agency. A dedicated reproductive justice advocate, she creates spaces that honor autonomy and embodied power. The HR Director for Best Studio Ever, she lives in Vancouver, Washington in her cute little witchy cottage with her two sweet dogs, Riley and Benny.

A journey through the underworld

Mictlan is a threshold — a space between worlds, where the soul is tested and unmade.
Here, gods ask for fragments of you. The order of things unravels: wild beasts become guides, and shedding your human skin becomes a necessary rite.
Follow the path of a soul through the trials of the underworld — a journey of disintegration, where death clears the way for new life.
Rooted with one foot in the Western Requiem tradition, the music evokes that weightless state between the physical and the metaphysical — where the body hovers, as in body suspension, between worlds.
It then meets the rich, symbolic terrain of the Aztec underworld, where the dead are not forgotten, but guided, challenged, and transformed.
