Moments of transformation are often uncomfortable. If you know me well, you know I’ve had my fair share of transformative moments in the past few years. In those years I’ve dealt with a lot of loss and as a result I’ve learned a lot about myself and changed a lot as a result. Coincidentally a lot of these events have had a resolution during burning man or at least some of the processing has happened there. This year continues the theme of transformation but this time it feels like my choice to transform. I moved to a new city, started a new job, thrust myself into building two separate art pieces for burning man, and struggled through my toughest burn yet. It has been a hard 6 months of work but also one of the most satisfying experiences to see all my work come to fruition. Transformation is never going to come easy so as my good friend Bear once told me, “Do it scared”

It’s been a good year to be in the mountains. 🏂

Anyone who knows me knows I was going through it last year. I’m just happy to have those moments of ecstatic happiness with new and old friends from far and wide. I can honestly say this years @coldtripsucks was one of my favorite so far. Thanks to everyone who made it so special. 🫶 📷: @piperaeji
