في أمسية مليئة بالفرح، اجتمعنا الأسبوع الماضي للاحتفاء بإطلاق كتاب #مغرس. تخللتها جلسات حوار، وعروض أفلام، ومساحة مخصصة لتصفح الكتاب. شكرًا لكل من حضر وشاركنا اللحظة، ولكل من كان جزءًا من هذا العمل، من قريب أو بعيد.

Last week, we gathered at the farm to celebrate the launch of the new #Maghras publication. The programme brought our community together over conversations, film screenings, and a space for slow engagement with the book. Leen Ajlan’s (@leenajlan), work at @triennalemilano presents a project rooted in Al Ahsa’s date farms, where she explores how design can play a role in regenerating ecological systems and reviving traditional craftsmanship. Her research investigates the effects of agrarian monoculture and phosphate fertilisers on soil and water.

The canopy and veil harvest pieces are experiments in circular strategies that aim to reconnect craft to agricultural practice. Developed in collaboration with the craft designer @mhairi.boyle and craft communities across Al Ahsa and Bahrain.
