But yeah for a show called Dexter’s Laboratory I’ve come to the realization that this show is dumb af. I genuinely think everybody was writing off vibes and gave no real thought to any of these plots. Sometimes Dee Dee is dumb as hell, other times she’s actually lowkey smart she just doesn’t like science and “girl stuff” instead. In other news to no one the Dexter’s mom and dad are freaky af and I love that for them. Craig McCracken, Rob Renzetti, Gendy Tartakovsky, and Paul Rudish are some wild names to all have got their start here.

Who says lyrical hip hop wasn’t made to be danced to? Yall are tattling on yourselves cuz there definitely some Madlib and Dilla beats that were made to funky to. That was my approach to the beats on 40winks. I like for one half of my albums to be more conscious and mellow but I like a lighthearted flirty song to be stuck in there too! To me, this is like some fun ish like MF DOOM on All Caps. Or most of MED x Blu on Bad Neighbor. Or better yet Freddie Gibbs on the hype parts of Alfredo and Alfredo 2. Gotta keep repping for the New Jersey underground rap scene with that Ghostface Killah type abstract hip hop. Jazzy beats and all that.

Per usual the underground indie scene in Glassboro got the people with the best moves. The rest of y’all at the house shows need to catch up. Cuz I like to get groovy on em.

Shoutout to @bukaluuu who produced this track. I knew when I heard this playful beat with that vinyl scratch I knew I was gonna hafta get cartoony on em and start rapping like a rubberhose cartoon character. And that’s what a couple obligatory Looney Tunes and Charlie Brown bars later…

I like to think of this song as where goofy chill lofi meets boom bap. Where hype ish meets elavator music. It sounds like one of the bonus tracks off of Madvillainy. Good to see people continue to turn up for lyrical hip hop at these live performances in Jersey.

90s Spider-Man was actually a menace to society. It wasn’t just that SHOOOCKERRR scene. Bro could’ve genuinely been freakier than Shocker and his BDSM gear. Peter Parker always low key two timing someone in this show (while not being able to show up to a date with either). Bro also loved to be like Harry Osborn is my best friend while thinking he was a punk. I don’t wanna hear nothing bout the black suit made him to do it. He was really just like this.
