‘Refuse to Conform’ for @oakley

One of my favorite commercial projects to date. Not often are you able to build such a fleshed out little world as we got to with this one. From the 13s crane shot to open, we wanted to challenge expectations and slow things down (at least to start)- focus more on shaping the world and building tension to accentuate the release.

Capturing the footnotes of New York on 16mm for @of___nothing

We wanted to make something that felt both transcendent and naturalistic, finding a way to show real life in a surreal way- combining 16mm film with the Freely Ember for the high speed moments.

Brought to life by the @midwestcowboy_ cinematography, an idiosyncratic @dick__texas score, @kingofcurtis finding a distinct palette, and everyone else who came together to make it happen.

‘South Facing Windows’ my latest short film, is now on Vimeo.

Lots of favors and helping hands to put this one together. Was feeling some frustration with the orchestration of larger film projects, and wanted to experiment with what you can do with very little. 2 characters, one of which played by myself (begrudgingly), and a handful of talented friends.
