पुण्याच्या ललित कला केंद्रात अभिनयाचे शास्त्रशुद्ध शिक्षण घेतल्यानंतर नेहाने आंतर-महाविद्यालयीन नाट्यस्पर्धांमध्ये चमक दाखवली. तिचं पहिलं व्यावसायिक नाटक ‘क्षण एक पुरे’, त्यानंतर ‘बेचकी’, ‘आबालाल अडकित्ते’, ‘वाडा चिरेबंदी’ आणि अलीकडचं ‘सखाराम बाईंडर’ यामधून तिच्या अभिनयाची विविध रूपं प्रेक्षकांनी अनुभवली.

दूरचित्रवाणी कारकीर्दीची सुरुवात २००० मध्ये ‘ऊन पाऊस’ या मालिकेतून झाली. ‘का रे दुरावा’, ‘ऊन पाऊस’ यांसारख्या मालिकांतील लक्षवेधी भूमिकांमुळे ती प्रेक्षकांच्या पसंतीस उतरली. मराठी चित्रपट ‘झेंडा’, **‘पोस्टर बॉयज’**सह हिंदी प्रकल्पांमध्येही तिने दर्जेदार कामगिरी केली. ‘एक महानायक बी.आर. आंबेडकर’ मधील भीमाबाई रामजी सकपाळ ही भूमिका तिच्या कारकीर्दीतील विशेष ठरली.

विशेष म्हणजे अजय देवगणच्या ‘दृष्यम २’ मधील तिच्या कामाचंही मोठ्या प्रमाणात कौतुक झालं. नाजूक, संयत आणि भावनिक छटा असलेल्या त्या भूमिकेतही नेहाने स्वतःची वेगळी छाप सोडली.

अभिनयासोबतच फॅशन आणि स्टाईल आयकॉन म्हणून देखील नेहाला तिचे अनेक चाहते फॉलो करतात. नाशिक येथे तिने रेखा लानगौडा यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली कथ्थकचे शास्त्रशुद्ध शिक्षण घेतले आहे.
