My grandmother was the best of us, lived life to the absolute fullest, and took on a “no-bullshit” type attitude I still hope to emulate one day. I’ve been fortunate in this life to not have lost very many people close to me - but this is one that will leave a tremendous hole in my heart that I will look to fill with all the fruitful, laugh so hard you could cry, memories she and my Grandfather gave me.She was whip smart, funny, and tried her damndest to teach me how to play pinochle, while all I wanted was to eat the 20 snack spread she’d always have out.This morning, a bird sat and chirped on my windowsill (which NEVER happens) and I’d like to think it was her giving me one last “heyyyyy” in that memorable high pitched squeal before riding off into the sunset to our Pop Pop.
Have one last bourbon and water for us. I love you forever Mom Mom ❤️
