Beyond the beat officially happened a week ago from today.

One week to process and still processing what it was to have an event like this. I’m so over filled with joy in knowing people had such a great time and hearing all the positive impact it had made for others.

I am forever grateful to my friends and family that have supported me through this journey that is only just beginning, you all know who you are 🙌🏽

But this post is to highlight my brotha, partner in crime, my first student in Florida, @officialnwsyre. Who let the two hyper active knuckle heads work together 👀 from the first day you met me as some random popper guy at a session, to now, we have truly accomplished something great. This is only the beginning for what’s to come, but I am so proud that we were able to sit down one day and take action on a dream of ours. What started off as an idea grew into fruition and became reality. This event exceeded my expectations and the turn out was beautiful. To create an inclusive environment and spread nothing but positivity feels like a lost art in dance at times, but we were able to do that.At the end of the day all I can truly be is proud, being able to navigate through this dance world with genuine intentions on building up others, growing the community that we are apart of, being a ray of light in a world that may sometimes feel dark. This is the power of dance, the connections, the beautiful energy, the inclusiveness, and the community. This is why it’s called beyond the beat, it is beyond just the music that moves us, it’s all that comes through it.

Thank you to every single person that has supported in any way, I am forever grateful 🙏🏼
