Locals say "never visit Seville in July", but my Euro-trip routing gave me no choice. 🥵
I had to be there in peak summer to make the rest of the northern cities work. But the 44°C heat forced a perfect schedule: I hid during the siesta, avoiding the harsh midday sun. Instead, I saved my energy to walk with my tripod and shoot these hyperlapses step-by-step in the beautiful morning and evening light.

Did you know I shot over 9,000 photos in just 3 days to make this Seville video? 🤯
That’s 43 sequences with at least 200 photos each! To pull this off so fast, I had to prep a strict shot list in advance. My folding bike was an absolute lifesaver for quickly cutting down travel time between locations.
Hauling a heavy backpack full of gear in 44°C heat was brutal, but the result was totally worth it.

Everyone hypes up Seedance 2.0, but honestly, it’s not as perfect as they claim. 🤯
After shooting this Seville hyperlapse purely on a tripod, I wanted seamless morphs to connect the scenes. For its high price, I expected magic from Seedance. Instead, it cropped edges and often made the camera movements jerky and uneven. I had to rescue the edit in After Effects and use Kling to fix the broken flow.
Does "AI magic" sometimes create more work than it saves? Thoughts on the final result? 👇

I’m finishing up the first city from my European road trip, and it’s dropping in a couple of days (or even less)! Shooting in Seville was a real test of endurance – riding my folding bike and manually moving the tripod under the 44-degree sun.

But that actually inspired the whole style of the edit. I experimented with some new neural networks to make the flow from one location to the next – like a seamless moving mirage. Can't wait to show you how it turned out!

Everyone thinks these shots use a drone or motorized rail. The truth is way more exhausting.

The "sliding" motion in Rotterdam is literally just me walking, moving my tripod one step forward, realigning the camera to the exact same point, and taking a photo. Hundreds of times.

Stitched together, it creates the illusion of flying. Then I use morphing transitions to make the wild architecture melt.

On day 2 in Rotterdam, my bike got stolen in broad daylight. Motivation = zero. But the crazy futuristic architecture made me push through. I channeled that frustration into the edit, building new melting transitions to match the city's vibe.

Notice how the people and cars in this video look like smooth, ghost-like trails? That’s the real reason I shoot these 100% manually instead of just walking with a gimbal. To get this buttery, cinematic motion, every frame is a 4-second long exposure. A gimbal would slowly drift and ruin the shot, so the only way to do it is with a tripod and a precision geared head. I move the camera inch by inch: it’s a slow workflow, but that organic motion blur is impossible to fake in post-production.
