🥌 Just playing around with some old tricks within Cinema 4D. It's been a while.

🎉 The thing is, I OWN this tool. I mean that I paid for the entire thing before the subscription model. It's R20, quite old, yes, but it's mine. In this times where all the digital tools are either free or rented it feels great to have one. I needed to save the money and, finally in 2019, I paid for a copy of it. It's quite funny that literally 2 months later the suscription model came into effect.

This was a milestone for me. Indeed.

🍀 When Nicholas Konrad @iguessnick emailed me proposing this collaboration for @nytmag it felt surreal. I was so honoured and happy.

Then the whole process, where Nicholas was guiding me through my explorations was a lot of fun.

🛹 I created this animation in @cavalry.app and even the static - printable version was designed there, then exported as .svg an revised in Adobe Illustrator.

The final version of this piece that you'll see at The New York Times Magazine online media was edited by their team to enhance the concept further more. They asked me kindly before doing so.

All and all: A dream come true.
