LA-based gallerist Rajiv Menon, curator of “Time Pass,” an exhibition of emerging South Asian artists opens tonight 6-8pm

In conversation with @_shaqy, @meghannstephenson speaks about beauty, anxiety, self-destruction, and the small actions that make her paintings feel as if they exist right before or right after disaster.

”There was a theme last year in many of the exhibitions of testing how much destruction we could handle, both to ourselves and as a greater organized society. Because so much of the year was about destruction that was out of our control, I think many artists began to take ownership, or at least attempt, of their own ritual of deconstruction. You could see that as completely destabilizing, but in the case of Meghann, it was empowering.” — Shaquille Heath
