Two years ago we got engaged on a cliff in Hawaii, and three days later we packed our dog into a car and drove to Austin, Texas to start the next chapter of our lives.

Now we have a new baby girl and probably won’t do anything but post photos of her little hands and feet for another 6 or 7 years, so please enjoy this walk down memory lane.

Happy Valentine’s Day to my husband @fancytimclancy and to everyone out there!

We finally met Eva Valiente Clancy this holiday break, and boy do we really like her a lot…

Oh and happy new year!

A year ago today, 2023 started about as rough as it could have and it felt like it was raining frogs at the end of Magnolia (spoiler!) for the first few months of the year, but just focusing on friends and family and trying to be optimistic turned the year into hands down the best year of my entire life so I am so eternally thankful for all the amazing people we shared it with, and I’m wishing you and me and everyone else the absolute best this coming year—let’s stay positive and make it a special one, with no regrets.

Happy Mother’s day to an amazing Mom of two!

Vivian and I both grew up with such amazing supportive mothers and saw how impactful that can be, and I just feel so lucky that our kids have her in their lives as a guiding light—always putting them and what will help them grow and develop first, and just an incredibleexample for me to frankly follow as I try to be a good dad to Eva and our soon to be future kiddo.

Excited for our second album to drop inOctober (baby boy, name recs welcome!)

Celebrating 42 years today.

For as much as I’d love to have the metabolism of my 20s or the silly sense of “We can accomplish anything if we just work 90 hours a week and it’ll be totally worth it!” that I had in my 30s, my favorite thing about your 40s is being able to look back at entire decades of your life and cut yourself some slack for chasing the wrong external solutions to very simple internal problems.

Everything I’ve ever learned that was worth knowing Ive learned through my own mistakes, and now that I’m a bit older I just I feel very fortunate to be able to appreciate a world that has a way of humbling you by taking away the stuff you thought were solutions but were actually just more problems, and making you appreciate all the things that actually make a person happy.

Very thankful today to my amazing friends and family (especially my mom) and all the dogs past and present (RIP Greg ❤️) and the sport of hockey and the medium of film/docs and the small crew of great friends and collaborators I’ve worked with these past few years, and the largest thanks to my incredible wife and perpetually joy filled daughter for making my 40s by far the best decade I’ve had.

I still miss my metabolism but I honestly wouldn’t trade one minute of today for an entire year back in my 20s or 30s. Hope it’s a great year ahead for everyone!
