I’ve posted a few times about how thankful and grateful I am for everyone attached to this project, but now it’s time for that sappy post about @natashamatallanamarken that I promised a while ago.

Five years ago, Natasha took a chance on a little freshly turned 5 year old me. We’ve had a lot of challenges, awesome bookings, runner ups to some huge projects, role changes, and many other learning experiences throughout this time.

I’ve always felt the right projects would come my way at the right time. As I was learning, exploring and becoming more comfortable about my identity and slowly coming out as a non-binary queer kid, this project came along. There was another amazing opportunity hanging out there as a possibility too, that everyone thought I was nuts about possibly turning down, but I was adamant that this was the one I wanted, I just knew that I needed to be Cassie. I’ve never wanted a role as much as I wanted this one.

And through whatever hard work and wizardry it took, Natasha made it happen. And the experience of filming it was everything I hoped that it would be, and more. Words will never express how much you, and this all means to me, Natasha.

And of course none of it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for @theglobalactivista, @hilliardguess, @jenicabergere, @rlacen, @tylerjames007, @marycatv, @findleydavidson, and everyone else involved. Soooo much love to you all. 💚

I can’t forget @shannschachter and @rebelcreativegroup, @michcavall and @take3talent for being my hardest workers and biggest cheerleaders, and my friends and family that love and support me always.

And @arturoluizsoria…you are the Pepper to my Cassie. I couldn’t imagine doing this project with anyone else. Cannot WAIT for the world to see you. 🔥🌶️

It goes without saying that this film can’t come out soon enough, with all of the hatred, setbacks, and difficulties that our LGBTQIA+ community is facing right now. It’s terrifying. But representation matters and we will NOT be erased. Art matters. Stories matter. And I can’t wait to help share this story with you all. 🌈🧜‍♀️

First USA Swimming meet in the books! 🇺🇸🏊‍♀️

Two new PR’s and some great swims!! 5th out of 54 swimmers for breaststroke, despite losing a bit of time. Shaved a half second off my 100IM and was 9th out of 43 on that one.

I was anxious about the 200 freestyle and was seeded 18th, but placed 1st in my heat and 4th overall, shaving over a minute off! 💪🏼

But most importantly, I had a lot of fun, and can’t wait for the next one! 🥰
