The African moon moth (Argema mimosae), found in tropical subsaharan Africa

Fact: Apart from the eye-like markings on its wings, the coloring and shape of the African moon moth’s wings mimic the appearance of foliage. This camouflage, or cryptic coloration, helps these specimens blend in with their environment and avoid prey

The ghostly silkmoth (Ceranchia apollina) stands out among other Saturniidae for its role in sericulture, unique appearance, and endemic nature
