Something a little bit different! πŸ‘‹πŸ» I've been wanting to get some professional photos for a while. I'm the most unphotogenic person and hate taking photos of myself, so I asked the wonderful @jakerowles to take some photos! Really love how they turned out, showing my little workspace and of course Maki stole the show, scroll through to see him posing 🐱

It's getting its world premiere at @fantastic.fest and then its UK premiere at @encounterssff! Can't wait to watch it on the big screen next month!

Slipcover art for @poolsmovie for @circle.collective πŸŒ€ Directed by @sam.hayes
It's such a fun coming of age film which has some surprisingly emotional moments. Things that felt so similar to some of my experiences with grief and expectation. It's always so cathartic finding something so surprising and specific in a film ❀️

Bit of a cheesy post to celebrate 5 years of a dream job I never thought would become my actual job!
I began designing fun alt posters under BAM.Create back in 2020 while studying for a graphic design MA part-time. But it wasn't until 2021 that I started taking on work and thinking about maybe doing it as something on the side while I looked for a 'proper' design job.

Here are a couple of highlights of my career so far:

1: My first commission was for the wonderful @celineribard and her short Stagger πŸ’–

2: In 2022 I had the honour of designing the teaser poster for Flux Gourmet for its Berlinale premiere. This was such a huge project both personally and professionally. Something that still feels unreal it happened.

3: I worked with @park.circus.films and @cineredis on artwork for their touring season of Pre-Code Hollywood! I've had the pleasure of working with them for the last couple of years on their seasons too as well as attending Cinema Rediscovered πŸ“½οΈ the best festival!

4: In 2023 I began working on physical releases with the likes of @ocn_distro and @alteredinnocence!

5: This was also the year I first worked on some @deafcrocodile releases 🐊
I designed some artwork for @klassiki.online that became part of a rebrand.

6: In 2024 my artwork for podcast Beyond All Repair was up in Times Square!

7: worked with @lunacarmoon on an alt poster for Hoard πŸ€

8: In 2025 I worked on a couple of my favourite designs for local cinemas, first up was @w_shed's Melodrama season πŸ₯€

9: I worked with @invisiblewomen_archives on some rebranding πŸ’•

10: designed artwork for @chapterartscentre's Lynch season β˜•

This is just a small selection of the projects I'm proud to have been a part of and the friends I've made thanks to this job. Thanks if you've read this far! I'm off to have some cake 🍰

(Maki wore the hat for a minute and was compensated with chicken)

Antenna Releasing's The Man Whom the Trees Loved has unveiled its poster and trailer ahead of its world premiere at Florida Film Festival!

View the new trailer on our YouTube channel now!

From Florida Film Festival:
"After 8 years of pushing the cinematic envelope the Florida Film Festival’s Sunspots program is expanding by spotlighting an experimental cosmic horror film, set on an isolated island in the St. John’s River. Adapted from Algernon Blackwood’s supernatural novella, The Man Whom the Trees Loved is about landscape painter Dave (co-writer/director Woodruff Laputka) who becomes mysteriously and wildly drawn to the Florida flora while on vacation with his wife Sophia (Avise Narey Parsons). Filmmakers Laputka and Tehben Dean (2024 FFF Grand Jury Award for All I’ve Got & Then Some) utilize mesmerizing black and white and color cinematography, coupled with a lush soundscape, to invoke the psychedelic bliss and inexplicable horror of the forest beyond the couple’s cabin. As Dave is transformed through his communion with nature, Sophia descends into grief and fear of losing her husband. The Man Whom the Trees Loved is a ghostly mix of atmospheric Florida filmmaking and the fear of forces beyond human comprehension."

Antenna Releasing recently announced the acquisition of The Man Whom the Trees Loved and plans to distribute the film in 2027 with a targeted theatrical roadshow and rollout, digital, and physical media to follow. The film joins Antenna's debut release, Stolen Kingdom, and the techno-noir thriller, Bluebird, which world premieres this week at Brazil's Fantaspoa Film Festival.

Florida Film Festival runs April 10th thru the 19th. The Man Whom the Trees Loved screens Saturday April 18th at 2pm at Enzian Theater, and Sunday April 19th at 4:45pm at Regal Winter Park Village (Theater B) as part of Florida's Sunspots program highlighting Florida-centric films.
