A quick save the date announcement, Braw Gigs is back with our first show of the year on Februay 22nd and I’m very pleased to welcome Knifedoutofexistence and Geheimnisknecht to Home Bar in Tollcross, with some solid local support from R. Denham. It’ll be our first show at Home Bar, and hopefully one of many more to come - so don’t miss out.

Knifedoutofexistence aka. Dean Lloyd Robinson, head honcho of the excellent Outsider Arts label, has been performing and releasing some of the finest industrial power electronics/harsh noise for over a decade now. Stemming from the vibrant hardcore/power violence scene of the 2010s, Dean’s been crafting nonstop tapes and extreme performances under his solo noise guise. Geheimnisknecht is the dark chain mailed sidequest of Richard Carson of Belfast bruisers Unyielding Love, incorporating elements of dungeon synth, harsh noise and black metal. Many of you will probably recognise R.Denham from countless DIY gigs in Edinburgh as frontman of grindcore power trio A.V.L. and as his solo experimental moniker, so get down the front early doors!

There might be one more local support if I can sort timings out, so keep an eye out for further announcements and the ticket link in the next few days. I’m setting up a Braw Gigs notification group on WhatsApp as well, so feel free to join and spread the word once the QR code goes live.

Next gig and first show of the year is Fuzz Fest Episode IV from 8th to 10th January. Here's the lineup for the sat eve (10th) section at Leith FAB Cricket Club ✨️

Performing are...

R. Denham (@atomic_deathry): Edinburgh's resident gloomy bastard who melds ambient industrial sound design with glitchy, distorted rhythms

@the_chunks_band: Sophisti-skronk trio who rotate somewhere between pop sludge, dungeon prog and straight up super hero indie rock

@dragged_up: Fuzzy and scuzzy psychedelic garage rock band with harmonious vocals weaving and cutting through the grit. (Last Edinburgh gig for a while before focussing on a new album)

@cuttingsband: Fuzz-soaked angular indie rock quartet full of fun adventurous twists and turns.

Doors at 7pm with R. Denham on prompt at 7:15pm, so get down early 👀

Super stoaked for the show. This is the first time I've ever ran something at the cricket Club. Thanks to Craig of @leithdepot138 for making this possible ✨️
