Our first EVER sculpture drops today… “La Petite Princesse” by @joepvanlieshout 👑

The inflated cave work by @jr has finally arrived to Pont Neuf ⛓️
Completed in 1607, Pont Neuf is Paris’ first bridge in Paris built without wood – instead constructed from Lutetian limestone, or Paris stone 🥖
JR’s design is intended to emulate quarries in the Paris Basin, from which Paris stone was extracted to create the bridge. It’s also a nod to Christo and Jeanne-Claude, who wrapped the bridge in fabric 41 years ago 🌪️
The tunnel officially opens on June 6 - our countdown has begun 🐾

Thank you @noepy_testa 🎀
Many of you know this incredible fair. But did you know that TEFAF has a social track record for bringing hidden works back into public view 🤔 At a recent edition, @trinityfineart unveiled a Titian masterpiece of Madonna & Child that had been hidden from public view for 200+ years! An amazing balance of the old & new ⚖️

Take me to church @venice.art.biennale 🔔
Florentina Holzinger takes over the @austrianpavilion 🇦🇹 She floods the pavilion - literally - transforming it into an underwater amusement park, sewage plant, and sacred space all at once 💒
What you’re seeing: a performer suspended inside a giant church bell, swinging as a living clapper. Another rides a jet ski naked through the flooded interior. The bell is a symbol of patriarchal and religious authority, replaced by a female-led ritual 💪🏽
Another must-see in Venezia 🚤

Sail into the dream-like world of @michael_armitage_studio ⛵️
You may know him as the designer of UK’s £1 coin… but there’s so muuuch more behind the coin 🪙
Over 45 paintings now deck the walls of Palazzo Grassi (the only grand palazzo still standing on the Grand Canal before the fall of the Venetian Republic!) 🇮🇹
The Kenyan/British painter paints with oil on a traditional bark cloth, sourced from Uganda and Indonesia. His paintings tell stories of the past: deadly sea-crossings of migrants traveling from Africa to Europe and the present: upheavals of the 2017 Kenyan elections.
Our very first stop in Venice 🪭

Yesterday we visited Tomáš Libertíny’s Rotterdam studio to see how bees make art 🐝
Here’s how it works: Libertíny builds the frame, hands it to 60,000 bees, and waits (sometimes 2 years!) for a honeycomb sculpture to emerge. They may look fragile, but beeswax is one of nature’s most durable materials, capable of lasting thousands of years… 🛕
For @tomaslibertiny , bees aren’t just collaborators… they’re a metaphor. Their collective labor mirrors how ancient civilizations built their societies and monuments. A beautiful fusion of nature and mankind (especially on a sunny April day!) 🍯
