My new project CEMENT / COLD is out in the world!

This was my first time using my voice on a project and it was pretty daunting at first. I had no preconceived process or expectations of myself, but in the end, it was quite freeing. I played live guitar and bass and I did one take recordings for the vocals for most tracks and freestyled everything, it was like a subconscious sonic dump. Thank you to @jaysonxpalacio for coming to me for this concept album and it be the backdrop for your first photo exhibit. It pushed me to do something outside of my norm and it allowed me to express myself in a very honest and vulnerable way that I would have not been able to do before and I’m very grateful for that. I hope this project finds its way to whoever needs to hear it. 🫂🖤

Music plays a vital role in the creative process, acting as both a catalyst and companion to imagination. It has the power to set emotional tone, shift perspective, and influence the pace and rhythm of one’s ideas. For many artists, music functions as a tool for immersion—helping to enter a mental flow state where inspiration feels intuitive and unrestricted. The mood or genre of music can alter creative outcomes: ambient sounds may open space for introspection, while energetic beats can fuel experimentation and spontaneity. Beyond mood-setting, music often serves as a form of emotional translation—helping creatives express abstract feelings or concepts through visual, written, or physical mediums. In essence, music bridges the gap between emotion and execution, guiding the artist from thought to tangible expression.

As an extension toPAPERCLIP LTD™ we introduce PAPERCLIP SOUNDS®, a collection of collaborative works created with friends, partners, allies, and associates.

We jumpstart PAPERCLIP SOUNDS® with CEMENT / COLD by @alphfx a four-track sonic wormhole that takes you through the depths of emotional disarray and confusion. Alphafox, a Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter/designer has worked with brands such as @nike, @bodega, @toms, @timberland, @puma, @albinoandpreto, @openspaceseries, and @alo as well as artists like @missyeahoe and @ivylab. His scrappy, yet eccentric melodies and slappy bass and drums are synonymous for the Alphafox sound. We are extremely honored to have worked with Alphafox on this four-piece sonic capsule for the premiere of @jaysonxpalacio’s exhibition with @dilitrula at @nonfromseoul from October 18th - 31st.
